Nail art tutorial: This Stella McCartney Autumn 2015-inspired look is way simpler than you think

Nail art fanatics, you may want to sit down and get comfortable for this; we caught up with nail artist and Sally Hansen Colour Ambassador Madeline Poole backstage at last night’s Stella McCartney Autumn 2015 presentation and found out how to get a cool (and easy!) look based on the collection.

For the collection, the models wore a simple sheer pink shade (Sally Hansen nail polish in “Sweet Talker”) that was inspired by milk glass to complement both the patterned pieces as well as Stella McCartney’s love of neutral nails, but Poole showed us how to achieve a beige animal print design. “I think organic patterns–like something based on nature–are easier to do on yourself because you can be more natural and play around,” Poole told us. “It’s more expressive than something like, a triangle.”

Step 1:

Apply two coats of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure nail polish in “Camelflage” ($9, at drugstores)

Step 2:

Dab on Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure nail polish in “All Bark” ($9, at drugstores).

Make about 5 small spots per nail, spacing them out equally throughout your nail.

Step 3:

Using Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure nail polish in “All Bark” ($9, at drugstores), wipe most of the polish off the brush and tap 2-3 skinny lines around the outside of each blob.
