Holiday countdown has officially begun, and we’re making sure you’re prepped for the endless parties you’re invited to this season. With approximately four weeks to go until the holidays, we’re helping you get a head start on your beauty game. Because we all know looking good just doesn’t magically happen overnight. So we’re counting down the days, smartly. Consider this your ultimate beauty guide to prepping for the holiday season.

Here’s what you should do now:

Do a Keratin treatment

Dropping temps outside result in dry and hair that’s simultaneously frizzy and static-y. Enter: a keratin treatment. Because keratin’s a key ingredient in healthy hair, it can help restore your hair post-unavoidable damage caused by the environment and product build-up. If your budget allows, make an appointment at your hair salon for an in-house professional treatment approximately a month before the holidays (that’s now!) to keep your hair under control. If not, an at-home treatment like Tresemmé’s 7 Day Keratin Smooth System also works. If that’s not your jam, start doing the hair mask of your choice once or twice a week for the next month.

Practice good skin maintenance

Start being mindful of how you’re taking care of your skin. Meaning, avoid trying out new, foreign products and treatments weeks before your party. Start off by figuring out which skincare ingredients you should not mix. Part of practicing good skin maintenance is being in the know about what you’re putting on your skin. So before your evening beauty routine, take a look at this guide to learn what skincare ingredients you should avoid mixing.

And if our recent Seoul trip was any indication, South Korea’s meticulous skin maintenance and epic beauty routine boasts tried and true results. Sure, it may take up more minutes of your precious evening, but hey, no one said it was easy.

Speaking of good maintenance, get your nails in shape. Whether you’re a biter, chipper or peeler, here are a few tips on how to get healthy-looking nails come holiday season.

Get your brow game on

When it comes to your brows, you should avoid doing anything drastic to your eyebrows leading up to party season. ICYMI, full brows are the way to go. While miracles don’t happen overnight, with T-minus four weeks left (ish), there’s no better time than now to figure out how you want your brows to look, whether you’re settling on the shape and doing some subtle grooming (ie. combing them out and our cleaning up in the area in between brows).

If you need more tips and tricks on how to fill them in, look no further than our eyebrow guide.
