Montreal Notes: Tai Knots

Get knotty.

By Shauna Hardy

Rachel Norman has a thing for string. While living in Taiwan, the Gatineau-based designer developed a passion for Chinese knotting. Working with soft nylon cord and semi-precious stones, including rose quartz and amethyst, she created her Tai Knots line (taiknots.com), which features everything from bracelets and earrings to lariats and multi-strand necklaces (shown, $110). Getting a little knotty never looked so good. At Muscade (1380 Fleury St. E., 514-381-5169).
