Green Party

Bright shades are a worthy cause this spring.

It won’t save the Kyoto Accord, but the green message on lids at D&G reminded us that bright shades are a worthy cause this spring.

Unlike blue and violet, green eyeshadows have never been a universal crowd-pleaser—until Spring 2007. In a season of muteness, avocado shades brighten the face in an unexpected way. “If you don’t want to coat the whole eyelid, apply the shadow as an eyeliner to get a flick of colour,” says Toronto makeup artist Simone Otis. Keep the rest of the face simple with sheer, pale lipgloss, a shimmer stick on the cheeks, and lightly curled, mascara-free lashes.
