The glamorous beauty messages for fall couldn’t be more powerful and precise, from strong red lips to bold liquid liner. And when it came to skin, complexions were decidedly powdered but with calculated hits of sheen, as seen at Donna Karan. “It’s not about a glossy or sparkly face. It’s just about having that right amount of highlight in just the right spot,” says Gordon Espinet, M.A.C’s vice-president of makeup artistry. “There’s no apparent use of colour, but it’s full-on makeup.”
