Editor's Picks: Cherry Lips

Beauty director Laura Keogh’s September picks.

Scarlet hues have gone from a daring dress-me-up classic to a standard run-out-of-the-house trend. To make certain the look is completely modern, combine a cherry mouth with “skin that is fresh and bare,” explains makeup artist Gucci Westman, Lancôme’s international artistic director. Instead of having a full face of foundation that you may not need, “it’s better to cover a few spots and leave some areas of skin.” Then you can add your lips: “Add a lighter colour or a bit of gloss in the middle; it shouldn’t be too restrictive.”
