When I was a New Yorker, I was addicted to Kiehl’s. So when the apothecary-style beauty house opened downtown (760 Ste-Catherine St. W., 514-788-4226, kiehls.com), I almost bought up the whole store. Happily, a lab coat–wearing woman curbed my worst excesses and made me fall in love again with classics like Crème de Corps, a luxurious moisturizer, and Blue Herbal Gel Cleanser, which magically zaps pimples. And the brick-walled boutique is so poetic, I felt like I was right back in the century-old East Village location.
