Day Four: Soldier on
Posted on November 2, 2007
Today, the FASHION crowd looked a little weary–hence the dark oversized sunnies and the venti Starbucks cups. But like stylish soldiers, we fought through the crowds to get to our seats to see more cool Canadian fashion. On with the shows…

This design duo had a few standout pieces in their collection. FASHION loved the green silk tunic top and the ivory lingerie-inspired wrap dress–very Veronica Lake. Models’ lips were slicked with a juicy burst of strawberry red. Also on our runway radar was Canada’s Next Top Model winner Rebecca Hardy who walked in the show.
Aqua di Lara
With beaucoup de cut-outs and various sexy strings, this collection of swimwear was meant more for sunning than swimming. Note: FASHION is now determined to have fab abs for Summer '08. We loved the great colour combo of turquoise and brown but felt we needed an instruction manual to figure out some of the stringy suits. Many of the pieces rocked the whole Betty and Veronica vibe (think: Archie comics) with their retro-inspired halter necklines and wavy beach hair. Time to book that pre-holiday getaway and up our cardio classes.
