If you have a larger calf, it can be daunting to find on-trend quality knee boots that actually fit. We loved all the colours and textures we saw in the September issues, and we think that a larger calf shouldn’t relegate you to ankle boots when the cooler temperatures hit—particularly since tall boots are a big trend this fall. We did some legwork (pun intended), and rounded up stylish boot options that accommodate women with calves that are 15 inches or thicker. From jewel tones to textures and embossed skins, we’ve got ten stylish picks for all you ladies with larger legs.

More photos of Anna Dello Russo’s H&M collaboration have been released
It’s been a while since we’ve heard news of the Anna Dello Russo and H&M accessories collection, but thanks to a recent spread in Vogue Russia, we’ve got an update on what will surely be H&M’s most bejewelled collaboration to date. If you recall Paris couture week, Dello Russo was spotted gallivanting around Place Vendôme wearing a gorgeous pink Oscar de la Renta ball gown with ornate turquoise luggage in tow. As it turns out, the editrix was mid-photo shoot and the luggage, along with all the other accessories Dello Russo donned that day, are pieces from her H&M collabo. In true Dello Russo form, the jewelry was over-the-top in a quirky-meets-Baroque opulence kind of way. The collection hits stores on October 4, and we know we’ll be line to snap up a pair of those glittering gator sunglasses.

Paws for a Cause transforms into a photo exhibit for its third annual fundraising gala

Photograph by Theron Humphrey
If you want to do a good deed while enjoying photos of four-legged furballs, then may we suggest you check out the third annual Paws for a Cause Gala, which takes place in Toronto on October 11, 2012. This year, the gala will try a new direction, opting for a dog-centric photo exhibit put on by Instagram duo Theron Humphrey and his coonhound Maddie. Whereas last year’s canine fashion show may be missed by dogs and owners alike, stylish pups will have the chance to have a Humphrey-snapped portrait, which sounds pretty fabulous to us. Gala tickets sell for $99, with proceeds going to the Central Toronto Veterinary Referral Clinic’s (CTVRC) Cares Foundation, which helps to subsidize life-saving surgery costs. If you think that your dog has that it-factor, be sure to enter them in the Paws for the Cause casting call!
John Galliano to sue Dior

PHOTOGRAPHY BY DIMITRIOS KAMBOURIS/GETTY IMAGES
Less than a week since being stripped of his French Legion of Honour, it’s being reported that John Galliano might be fighting back against Dior, reportedly seeking $18.8 million dollars in damages from his former employer. According to the Daily Telegraph, Galliano filed papers that relate to an employee-employer dispute with the Paris industrial tribunal, Conseil des prud’hommes. If the Daily Telegraph is right, the details that unfold are sure to be interesting, particularly since Dior is owned by LVMH—the same company that owns 91% of John Galliano’s namesake label. The French labour court will hear the details of the case on February 4, 2013, and we’ll be sure to keep you posted on all the developments that unfold.
