vfeb09cntmaudition_134It’s wasn’t hard to imagine at least one of the tall, leggy girls standing in line at Toronto’s Fairview Mall to audition for Canada’s Next Top Model as the latest Daria, Stam or Coco. Trs Gehry

After a facelift that rang in at over $270 million dollars, the new Art Gallery of Ontario (317 Dundas St., 416-979-6660, ago.net) is finally open to the public. The Frank Gehry–fronted project, which began three years ago, drew a major media crowd yesterday, the day before the AGO would be open to the public for the first time in over a year. And it was well worth the wait.

Spooky beginnings

When the re-configured team behind the once-a-year Fashion Cares soiree decided to move the event from May to November, we were a little surprised. It all made sense however when the theme of the evening was revealed and Fashion sCares was born.
