Kiehl’s Lip Gloss in “French Rose”

By Laura Keogh
As a beauty writer, I always try to steer clear of the typical clichés that litter beauty reporting. You’ll never hear me say anything like “pretty pout” or “pretty peepers” when describing a new lipstick or eyeshadow’s effect. I cringe when I read those kinds of descriptions. However, it makes reporting on the lovely little things that flood the market for Valentine’s Day (a holiday saddled with clichés) really difficult. But I’m going to do my best with the Kiehl’s Valentine’s Day offering because it is, well, pretty.
Their new lip gloss shade “French Rose” is a delicate pink that looked great on everyone I cornered into trying it on here in the office. Everyone also couldn’t help but say they loved its yummy smell. And for the ones who complained of chapped lips, I was quick to mention that it featured the Kiehl’s antioxidant-rich, super-hydrating recipe. So there. I did it and I never said anything about using it on your pout.
