As a fashion editor, it’s not everyday that I get to enjoy a foodie event. But with such a lively and burgeoning dining scene, Vancouver’s fashion and food industries are most definitely linked (just ask a few of the city’s stylish couples!). So when I received an invitation to a hands-on Contemporary West Coast workshop at the brand new Dirty Apron Cooking School (540 Beatty St., Vancouver, 604-879-8588, dirtyapron.com), opened by former Chambar sous-chef David Robertson and Karri and Nico Schuermans of Chambar and Medina, I jumped at the chance.
