For those who like to work up a serious sweat, get thee to Eva Redpath’s Body Conditioning by Dancers class series ($169 for an 8-week series, evaredpath.com). The super-bubbly, dance-trained instructor has put together a killer program of high-energy cardio (skipping, plyometric jumps), strength training with resistance bands, comprehensive stretching and balancing poses based on ballet exercises that will have you reaching for the towel. Committing to the entire series is a good way to make sure you stick to your fitness goals, and as you become familiarized with the sometimes fairly complicated choreography, the workout can only get more effective.

I have been to these classes and they are a phenomenal way to get in shape and stay in shape. Eva has carefully crafted her class so that you can see yourself improving each week. Every 8 weeks she also has new music and new choreography. She is an amazing person and a fantastic instructor.

This is the best class in the city. You get very strong, very quickly. Nothing is more effective.

I took my first class with Eva about 6 months ago. After that one class I was totally hooked. Her classes combine grace, dance and intense body conditioning all in one. Just one hour with Eva is the equivalent of what I would push myself to accomplish in 3 days at the gym. Eva is extremely dedicated to her art and it comes across in every aspect of her class.

You will actually SEE and FEEL the results of committing to Eva’s classes. And it’s fun! She gets the most out of you every class and is very energetic and motivating. Truly, the best class I ever signed up for.
