STEALING BEAUTY
Hairstylists have been known to spritz makeup brushes with hairspray to make rogue strands behave. But certain cosmetic tools, like the mascara wand, have never been recruited—until now. John Frieda Full Repair Touch-Up Flyaway Tamer ($15, at drugstores) is a cloned version of the trusty applicator, but in this case, its bristles are steeped in smoothing inca inchi oil, extracted from a vitamin-packed Peruvian plant. “It won’t change the texture of the hair because it dries quickly,” says Luigi Murenu, who used it to finish off the slick buns he created for Chloé Spring 2011, cleaning up the deep side parts and taming frizz.
