Vibrant, vibrant, vibrant was the goal for this mani! Because the colours are so complementary, it was tempting to use all five polishes on every nail. However, this is where the clothing-as-inspiration really helped establish a design. Two nails—my ring finger and thumb—mimicked blue and yellow patterns, while the other fingers were decorated with purple and pink.
A small confession: one of the polishes used in this design isn’t part of the Thakoon for Nars collection. A burst of coral seemed necessary to finish off the design, and so comes courtesy of Revlon. (There is a sixth Thakoon for Nars shade—a bright orange—but unfortunately it is exclusive to Nars boutiques in New York City.)
