While Louis Vuitton was definitely top of mind, the music festival trend of crocheted tops and sunset colours encouraged the use of more saturated polish colours and the ombré-ish pattern I painted them in. After letting the base colour on each nail dry, it was time to get out the dotting tools. This lace design required two dotting sizes: large, for painting on the white lace shape, and medium, for dotting the base colour to give a “punched out” effect to the lace eyelets. That’s right—this manicure looks like the white was drawn on with a stencil, but really it’s just dots on top of dots.
