Can I just say that the Kiss Fine Art Pen may be the best new manicure tool I’ve come across recently? It has a surprising amount of precision, making nail art detail work as easy as doodling in a notebook. But! I’m getting ahead of myself. First things first: paint your nails with a neutral shade of polish. (The closer to your actual skin colour the better, for a porcelain doll effect that goes so well with vampy makeup.) Next, using a very tiny paintbrush and a deep red polish, paint the lips. There are two parts to the shape: an “M” on top and a crescent underneath—it took me a few tries to get it right. Once the lips have dried, outline them in black, a step made so much easier with a nail art pen. And don’t forget to finish with a topcoat: this will even out any brush marks and make sure your work of art lasts all week long.
