Begin by smoothing on a creamy nude blush: I used Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in “Coffee Cake.” Its ultra-light gel formula allows you to swirl it on and build up light layers until you’re happy with the intensity. It’s important to choose a nude blush that is neither too warm nor cool—you want to add structure to the cheeks without competing with the orange on the eyes.
