As a make-up artist and product junkie, I have a beef with “best of beauty” survey winners. Year after year, it’s always the same brands/products which are voted as “best” by readers, because they simply don’t know about, nor have tried the huge variety of other, better products out there. Instead, brands such as M.A.C. become consumer favourites based on marketing, surveys like this (which provoke curiosity/people buying the “best” product winners), and those who advertise in magazines such as this generate sales based on hype.

I’m sorry, ladies, but M.A.C. is NOT the best. They are but another well-marketed brand, whose formulations were cheapened by Lauder, and it is NOT of professional quality anymore. It hasn’t been for a very long time.

There are SO many better brands out there …

I agree with the above comment. As far as makeup goes, there are many brands out there that surpass M.A.C. in quality. I’m surprised Makeup For Ever didn’t make the list. The results are largely limited to Cover Girl and M.A.C, which is kind of boring.

Also, in the future it would be nice to include a category for makeup for sensitive skin.

Really? MAC again for makeup is the best? There at least 10 other companies out there who are “higher end” and preferred ny millions. Tarte blushes, Urban Decay eyeshadows, Chanel lipsticks, and many others seem to be bypassing MAC on YouTube and in the beauty blogs. Most “monthly favorites” videos show products other than MAC. How is itthat Sephora is doing sooo well? They don’t carry MAC…..do they?

M.A.C.? Not in my opinion! I’m a huge fan of Makeup For Ever and recently Joe Fresh has gotten my attention as well :) Much cheaper too and every woman loves saving money!

While I love MAC, I do agree that there are other brands that are amazing! Benefit, UD, MUFE and Loreal for drugstore brand is really good. Branch out a bit and see that there are others that are worth trying out.

I think that other webpage lovers need to consider this unique site as an example. Definitely clean and user-friendly style and design, in addition to superior content material! You’re an authority when it comes to this kind of subject :)
