Not only does the Conair MiniPro 1/2″ Ceramic Straightener ($25, at drugstores) heat up in 30 seconds, it’s compatible with international outlets so you can also be smooth if you’re in Sydney or Seoul. And because I am far too impatient to wait for things to cool down, I appreciate the accompanying heat resistant pouch. (I even like the pattern). Big-haired girls take note: at only a half-inch wide, this baby is probably best for taming bangs and random unruly spots, not your whole head.
