Vancouver: Party on, BCBG
On the evening of October 29, Vancouver’s fashion cognoscenti rolled down Robson Street and through the doors of the newly-renovated BCBG MaxAzria boutique (1080 Robson St., 604-681-3733, bcbg.com). FASHION magazine was there to help celebrate the grand reveal.
Outside the store, the bright lights and red carpet attracted attention from pedestrians. Inside, however, guests milled about as they sipped on cocktails and nibbled on hors d’oeuvres, admiring the swank new interior and chic fall collections. (A fitted down coat with an oversized collar was attracting much discussion.)
The BCBG Robson store is now home to almost all of the BCBG MaxAzria Group’s collections: ready-to-wear, runway, evening dresses, footwear, handbags, etc. It even includes the pricier MaxAzria signature collection, a “poetic means of self-expression” for designers Max and Lubov Azria. The only thing that seems to be missing, you might say, is the Hervé Léger collection, but even it can be found not far away at Holt Renfrew (Pacific Centre, 737 Dunsmuir St., 604-681-3121, holtrenfrew.com).
