Winnipeg: The baby blazer

Winter’s here. And as much as it breaks my heart to say the words, I will persevere–by going shopping. I was in need of an autumn jacket and knew exactly what I was looking for, but could never find: the mini schoolboy blazer that’s been dotting the runways for the past few seasons.
After spending hours on eBay bidding against people who obviously had a way larger wallet than mine, it finally dawned on me and a little voice in my head said, “Just go to Value Village (1695 Ellice Ave., 204-774-1315, and three other Winnipeg locations).” So, away I went to hunt for the perfect, form-fitting jacket.
After tearing through the women’s and men’s racks, my heart sank when my little shopping trip proved fruitless. But, alas, being the creative genius that I am, I decided to try one more spot: the little boys section. To my great surprise there was a large selection of navy, black, grey, even pinstripe coats. Tempted to buy one in each colour, I instead decided on one navy, perfectly fitting blazer–for the very affordable price of $7.
