Calgary: A colourful cure for spring fever

I have spring fever. Bad. In fact, I’m pretty sure this might be a nation wide epidemic. But, after a seemingly endless Calgary winter, it appears as though spring may have finally appeared. (I write this with cautious optimism and instantly look for a piece of wood–I don’t dare temp fate.)
With regards to both weather and finances, this winter has been pretty dismal—surely we should indulge in flirty leg bearing fashion. With the arrival of Calgary’s newest boutique, Lililime (117, 638 11th Ave. S.W., 403-262-6602, lililime.ca), it will definitely give you the fresh twist to put a fashionable spring in your step.
Blooming with deliciously girlie pieces and vibrant colours, Lililime offers everything from steamy swimwear and couture diaper bags to jaw dropping evening gowns. Having just opened her doors in February, co-owner and director Linda Kate Huk has been thrilled with the response: “We’ve seen such a cross-section of women walk through these doors. Anyone from nervous teenagers on the hunt for the perfect prom dress to brides looking to accessorize on the big day.” Nestled among trendy galleries and restaurants in Calgary’s new “So-Do” district, Lililime is just the spring fling I’m looking for.
