Saskatoon: Take cover
You can’t always lug your rain boots around with you, but you can stay dry with a head-turning cover. I set out in pursuit of the perfect umbrella and here’s what I found:
A simple option is a black or clear umbrella from the Abbott Collection, available at Twisted Goods (The Centre, 3110 8th St. East, 306-374-3221). My favourite of the bunch was white with a cute bird and flower design ($20).
Hidden amongst the books at McNally Robinson (3130 8th St. East, 306-955-3599, www.mcnallyrobinson.com) was a sky blue umbrella with images of women writers ($13). For some fun prints or floral designs Etceteras (127 – 21st St. East., 306-652-2553) has an array of options (from $35). And they fold up to fit perfectly in your purse so it’s easy to tote around!
