Holt Renfrew recreates their favourite bloggers in window form

sum09holtsiwant

On late Friday night, Holt Renfrew revealed their much buzzed windows inspired by zee tops of the fashion blogging world. The windows are up across Canada, but the Bloor Street display also has an interactive feature for passersby to vote in Holts’ Contemporary Correspondent (read: blogger) contest.

Above is the glassed-in incarnation of Toronto’s Anita Clarke of I Want – I Got, featuring a navy blue Greta Constantine “Anita” dress. (Yes, the same Anita.) Check out the rest of the windows after the jump or at a Holts near you.sum09holtsdore

We’d never heard of Garance Doré, but if you need a daily hit of jealousy-inducing Parisian style, you should really head over there right now.

The Sartorialist. Does anyone else find the Scott Schuman masks a touch creepy? Still, if they’re going begging after the windows come down…

Remember Marc Jacobs’ Posh-in-a-bag ad campaign, which was maybe, possibly inspired by Bryanboy-in-a-bag? It’s all so meta.

I absolutely LOVE that Holt’s has done this. What a fantastic way to not only accept, but celebrate, the power and influence of bloggers on the fashion industry.

Also it’s great that they were able to include two Canadians (Tommy & Anita) to bring them even more publicity (as if they need it thought!).

  • hi there says:

Can’t believe you’d never heard of Garance Dore. Kinda weird for a fashion magazine, no? She’s Scott Schuman’s girlfriend also…but her blog and her photos are amazing.

  • A.MAZ.ING! what an incredible concept and a big huge CHEERS to fashion blogging! (garance dore!! you’ve never heard!??)
