Senator Armani?

Photography by Peter Stigter
Giorgio Armani has been nominated as “Senator for Life” by Italian lower house member Santo “Brother of Donatella” Versace. The position is not elected, but awarded based on lifetime achievements and Versace stated in a letter to Italian president Giorgio Napolitano that the designer was an ideal choice because “No one can do a better job than Giorgio Armani in showing the beauty of Italy — the Italy that we desire.” Napolitano has yet to accept the request for nomination.
