Birds of North America has us dreaming of summer dresses

Birds of North America’s Spring 2010 collection reminds us of a lazy play day with its feminine ruffles, pleats and pockets perfect for a garden picnic. The fifth collection from designer Hayley Gibson boasts sweetheart pieces in hand me down–like faded fabrics with crisp tailoring and oversized buttons. These schoolgirl rompers, jumpers and Sunday dresses in mint green and pale pink have a distinctly childlike look: one that’s simplified by a grey palette to go from soft and sweet evening strolls to sharp daywear.
