Sonia Rykiel’s H&M lingerie spectacle featured bikes, geese and a marching band
The Sonia Rykiel lingerie line for H&M was presented at The Grand Palais in a runway show parade that included girls on bicycles, a flock of geese and a famed Croatian marching band. The models, outfitted in pale pink vintage-inspired bras, panties and garter belts, jived atop moving floats. The carnival theme extended to the entire room, with a foggy tunnel serving as entryway, full-fledged rides and a mirrored funhouse all surrounding the focal point—a large Eiffel Tower extending toward the ceiling. Guests also got a sneak peek at Sonia’s upcoming knit collection for H&M and models Lily Cole and Alana Zimmer were spotted in the show. The entire spectacle finished with a bang—the marching band released their batons into the air and glitter and fireworks came tumbling down on a much surprised audience. Sonia Rykiel’s lingerie hits select H&M on December 5, and her knitwear collection launches in February.[Fashionista, video by Barracuda TV]
