Sneak peek: The Olivier Theyskens book
As Belgian designer Olivier Theyskens is currently without a fashion house (rumours of a partnership with Tory Burch’s ex notwithstanding), we’re going to have to content ourselves with his luscious new book, Olivier Theyskens: The Other Side of the Picture (US$120, Assouline). Filled with 150 illustrations and images–shot by French photographer Julien Claessens–and written with Vogue‘s Sally Singer, the book is a behind-the-scenes look at Theyskens’ critically lauded career. Claessens’ photographs capture extraordinary moments of stillness in the not-very-slow-paced environment of a fashion show and further highlight the elegant and ethereal beauty of Theyskens’ garments.
Olivier Theyskens: The Other Side of the Picture is out next month and is available to pre-order at assouline.com
