Fashion news: Madonna set to design, Alexander McQueen’s Paris show is supposedly still a go and Anna Dello Russo reveals the true price of beauty

Material girl Madonna is reportedly set to brings her lyrics to life and design a collection to be sold exclusively at Macy’s. The unconfirmed rumour is that the line will include clothing, accessories, lingerie and shoes. [Vogue UK]

In the wake of Alexander McQueen‘s death, the question of “what now” is obviously on everyone’s mind. While long-term plans remain unknown,  his upcoming Paris show is supposedly still scheduled to be presented. The collection was apparently completed a week prior to the designer’s death, and sources say that there is no change to the delivery dates of showpieces commissioned specifically for the runway. Vogue Nippon fashion director Anna Dello Russo reveals the lengths she goes to for the sake of her wardrobe: “Collecting clothes is complicated because the clothes need a space and the right temperature. You really destroy clothes if you leave it there, no? It’s dusty, it’s hot — it ruins the clothes. It’s so freezing in my house! The clothes need to be cold . . . no more than 15 degrees Celsius.” [Fashionologie]
