Vancouver: A very furry take on the hockey jersey

Rebecca Tay models the Fursey (fur + jersey!)

No sane Canadian would deny that hockey is our game and I’ve gotta say that The Fursey (thefursey.com) is probably the most appropriate (albeit non-official) piece of merchandise I’ve seen so far. They’re produced by an American company who can take any jersey (even a Canadian red and white one, of course) and add a furry lining to make a Nanook of the North-meets-Olympic pride statement. Prices vary, and they’re only available in Vancouver until the games close on Sunday. I can’t think of a better way to cheer on the boys when they (fingers crossed) make it to the gold medal game.

How archaic is THAT? Please tell me that faux fur was used…there is no need to kill animals for clothing anymore…Olympic pride? I don’t think so.
