German novelty company Donkey Products has created a Prêt-à-porTea line: tea bags that have heavy hitters such as Donatella Versace and Karl Lagerfeld perching on the top of a tea bag, that latches on to the side of your tea cup. What a way to start your morning. [Racked]
Marion Cotillard was honoured by the French Government with the Chevalier of Arts and Letters yesterday, and received the award both graciously and gaspingly: as French Culture Minister Frederic Mitterand pinned the medal to her blouse in honour of the actress’ work he accidentally stabbed her with the pin. Avon Products Inc. continues to do good for the world, launching an environmental initiative, Hello Green Tomorrow. The beauty brand is donating $1 million to The Nature Conservancy to plant 1 million trees in the South American rainforest and globally fundraising, asking for $1 a tree to continue to restore the tropical zone. The campaign is designed to kick start a women’s green movement through Avon’s sales reps and their customers across 65 countries. [WWD]
Last week, Rie Rasmussen spoke out about her strong distaste for Terry Richardson‘s approach to young female models, and apparently opened up a can of worms. Jamie Peck, who posed for Richardson, is speaking out about her experience with the photog, claiming that he told her to call him “uncle Terry” and the second time she went to his studio, he “was wearing only his tattoos.” [The Cut]
