The Culture Club: Top 6 Brooklyn shopping stops

The window displays at Dear Fieldbinder

We worked up an appetite for Brooklyn’s culinary delights after spending time wandering the borough’s selection of cool boutiques. Here are our favourite stops.

Bird (220 Smith St.,718-797-3774, shopbird.com) This little gem of a shop carries 3.1 Phillip Lim, Current/Elliott, Alexander Wang and everything in between.

Butter By Eva Gentry (389 Atlantic Ave., 718-260-9033, evagentry.com) You feel like you are entering a gallery when you pass the stoop of this directional boutique. They carry everything from artfully-crafted Japanese shoes to delicate diamond micro-bands and scented candles.

Consignment By Eva Gentry (371 Atlantic Ave., 718-522-3522, evagentry.com/consignmenthome) Butter’s sister shop, this consignment boutique divides its racks by style and color making it easy to find a the perfect dress, shirt, skirt or pant. (They also have a collection of shoes and bags.) Amanda found her favorite green Alexandre Herchcovitch dress here.

Dear Fieldbinder (198 Smith St., 718-852-3620, dearfieldbinder.com) One of our favorite Smith Street shopping stops, Dear Fieldbinder curates a gorgeous selection of pieces from labels such as Charlotte Ronson and Jeffrey Campbell.

Diane T (174 Court St., 718-923-5777)  A beautifully-edited collection of bags, shirts, scarves and cocktail dresses. A must stop on any Brooklyn shopping itinerary.

Atlantic Avenue Antique Shops (between Hoyt and Bond streets) From old books and shaving kits to school chairs and antique tea cups, you will find everything you didn’t know you needed in these cluttered shops.
