Fashion news: LMVH may buy Rodarte, Roger Federer gets style tips from Anna Wintour, and Romans wore socks with sandals
Looks like luxury giant LVMH is interested in purchasing Rodarte. The LA-based label has yet to pull in a profit–last year they made a meagre $2 million in sales, despite being the label on everyone’s lips. No deal has been made yet. [Fashionista]
Last night, tennis champ Roger Federer admitted that he often gets sartorial advice from none other than Anna Wintour. “I asked her about the pink color I was wearing last week and she was like, ‘Oh, you sure about that Roger?’ Too late now! But I got good reviews.” [The Cut]

Weezer, who some time ago had a magnificent moment with their “Sweater Song,” is teaming up with Hurley to do a capsule collection. The tallest teenager in the world, a Brazilian 6’9″, 14-year-old named Elisany Silva, has her eyes set on modelling and will make her runway debut at a bridal show. [Huffington Post]
Evidence from a recent excavation has archeologists believing that Romans wore socks with their sandals. Seriously? With gladiator sandals? What were they thinking? [Style List]
