The Rug Company to release a line of Alexander McQueen rugs
After three years of design and production high-end carpet retailer The Rug Company is set to release a 7-piece collection of rugs and cushions featuring designs by the late Alexander McQueen. (The company has a history of high-fashion collaborators, including Diane von Furstenberg, Vivienne Westwood and Matthew Williamson)
The couture-quality rugs and cushions includes four recognizable McQueen motifs–skulls, hummingbirds, feathers and the military brocade that was prominent in the designer’s final collection–and was made using hand knotted wool, cashmere and silk yarns. The collection will be available after the holidays. (In Toronto at Avenue Road, 415 Eastern Ave., 416-548-7788 or therugcompany.info)

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUSLY DESIRABLE.
The skull pattern cushion is ridiculous! It is almost canonically London. Come on! McQueen, Hirst @ White Cube and KylieX2008 references! WOW
