Phoebe Philo was awarded Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards today. The Celine designer was up against Christopher Kane and Erdem Moraliglu for the honour. Shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood took home the award for Accessory Designer, Patrick Grant of E. Tautz won for menswear, and Meadham Kirchoff for Emerging Talent. Naomi Campbell’s 25-year modelling career was honoured with a special award while Lady Gaga stylist and freshly-anointed Thierry Mugler creative director Nicola Formichetti was given the Isabella Blow award for Fashion Creator.

  • Happy New Year!
I have launched a new British Accessory label called St Leonards and I think it encompasses all the feelings people have right now – Less is more, Understated rather than Overstated, Choose well, Buy Less – Design that oozes style rather than screams celebrity… i hope you’ll take the time to have a look and mention the website in the future.

    Best wishes,
    Kay
