New York: Jeremy Laing layers fur, leather, prints and knits for a lineup of new fall favourites

Canadian darling Jeremy Laing presented his fall collection on Friday at Milk Studios to a fashion pack that included uptown girls, rockers, downtown indie girls, men in heels and everything in between. Models stood against a white backdrop wearing Laing’s latest wares, a cognac leather vest, swirly print wrap dress, softly structured sheared beaver hooded jacket (my fave!), cropped wool and leather jacket with military-inspired arm embellishment and a full length sleeveless cutaway coat. Laing’s lineup was a well edited collection of new fall favourites.
Oh, and like the polite Canadian that he is, Laing had a table of chocolate chip ginger cookies on hand for those in need of a post presentation nibble. We spied a well-known NYC-based makeup artist stuffing multiples in his pockets: “I have house guests!”
