New York: Tough luxe at Diane von Furstenberg

In her show notes, Diane von Furstenberg stated “I always wanted to live a man’s life in a woman’s body.” Her fall lineup is the very essence of masculine and feminine–cable-knit sweaters are woven with link chains, double-breasted tux jackets are layered over blush organza dresses and patent high heels merge with classic oxford details. Must-haves for fall include the printed velvet coat, black wool dress with chain mail, black twill riding pants and the printed mesh leggings.
