New York: Unyielding elegance at Vera Wang

VERA WANG Fall 2010. Photography by Peter Stigter
Like a true New Yorker, Vera Wang continued the black-out theme of the week with her Film Noir fall collection. Wang cleverly mixed sleek silhouettes, sporty underpinnings and feminine elements like sculptural ruffles and elbow-length gloves. For day, she showed wool jackets with organza corsages paired with paperbag pants, while her night looks ranged from sheer to scalloped dresses to the ultimate show-stealer, a one-shoulder lace and sequin bustier dress with tulle skirt. Truly a vision.
