New York: Marchesa’s fall show was a fairy tale come to life
Ethereal, enchanting, elegant – how do you describe the heavenly creations at Marchesa? This fall, the collection continues to inspire dreamers and romantics with its’ line-up of courtesan-esque sculptural silhouettes adorned with intricate pleat work, paisley motifs, delicate tulles, silk chiffons, embroidery and lace. Lilac kissed gowns mix amongst other red carpet-worthy pieces in blush, silver, pink, crimson and of course, black. It’s like a fairytale come to life and designer Georgina Chapman is the fairy godmother who styles us for the ball.
