Milan: Dolce & Gabbana get nostalgic for fall

Dolce & Gabbana scored with the most powerfully emotional show of the week. The entire audience was completely verklempt and near tears–from the swell of the soundtrack (Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman’s romantic duet in Moulin Rouge) to the beautifully-shot black and white slo-mo film that paid homage to the craftsmanship of the atelier.
The show tugged at our heartstrings, as hit after hit from the duo’s repertoire appeared: Sicilian widows, lingerie and corsetry, phenomenal tailored jackets, leopard and lace…. Stefano and Domenico showed nostalgia for the past in a thouroughly modern way. Just divine!
