Paris: Icebergs and Sasquatch boots at Chanel, capes at YSL and boxy minimalism at Chloé
The Chanel show, held today at Paris’ Grand Palais, was set against melting icebergs with models splashing through in short bouclé dresses with wide furry hems, paneled knits and fringey yarn trims. Notable were the shaggy Sasquatch boots. (A few pairs went thigh high!) The finale was a blizzard of abominable snowman coats, fuzzy white capes and dresses textured with ruffles, soft fringe and sequin clusters.
