Sequins, ruffles, jewel toned chiffon… Could I be anywhere but an Alberta Ferretti show? But wait! There is a distinctly minimal look that’s new for the reigning queen of chiffon as well as a bit of a mod ‘60s vibe I am seeing in bright trim little coats, simple shifts and bellbottoms. What’s this? Has Ferretti set down her Bedazzler once and for all? Never!

No matter how simple in structure, Ferretti never met an embellishment she didn’t like. Starting with a sequin here, a bit of lace there and jewels everywhere⎯she goes all out, covering jewel toned velvet thigh-high boots with a heavy-duty dose of sequins, gems and embroidery. Austerity be damned!
