Could someone puh-lease FedEx Versace‘s finale gown straight to the Oscars? And while you’re at it throw in a couple from the Gianfranco Ferré finale as well. Both are gorgeous, modern, sexy and oozing with a cool factor that’s got Oscar-winner written all over them! And with Dior probably out of the running for tonight’s big night, we could use some fresh labels on the red carpet.
Both Ferré and Versace showed slick, modern collections on Friday.

At Ferré, sculpted daywear in clean, and narrow silhouettes was done in luxe leathers, velvet, fur and plenty of metallic shine as well as razor sharp eveningwear.
Medusa heads on gold buttons, Baroque scrolling patterns coiling around sharp shift dresses and military suits brought a modish and modern vibe to the house of Versace. With Prince on the soundtrack and Duran Duran in front row, Donatella mixed graphic vibrant colours, tough leathers and some incredibly luxe furs. The super-slim, feather trimmed silver halter gown worn by model of the moment, Arizona Muse is surely worthy of red carpet glory…
