I was in love with the bold solid colors that came one after the other
on the runway—with girls who sported the sleekest centre parted
chignons with a literal twist. I thought we were going to take a trip
into the sixties initially because of the retro silhouettes of jackets
synched at the waist and lean pants that opened the show, but it
quickly turned into something else. Pink seemed to dominate the first part of the show then along came blue, then green, yellow followed by the return of python. It was almost reminiscent of Tom Ford’s Spring 2000 collection but updated with Frida Gianni’s signature stylings. Beyond the abundance of ruffles that adorned sleeves, cuffs and backs, what stuck out to me most was the neck bling that was apparent throughout the show: fantasy is alive and well.
