After seeing this show, it’s apparent that shapeless shapes are here to stay (at least for next season). A number of the dresses as well as the skirts had asymmetric hemlines. The tops were a little roomier and the basic white button-down was modernized with a bit of bling and newer, updated body. This hard lines vs. soft fabrics seems like something that has been trending amongst several of the Spring 2013 collections-exemplified in sheer pencil skirts over cropped pants (one could argue they looked more like shorts). A beautiful white leather structured tunic opened the show, which was followed by a number of pretty pastel separates—some fully bejeweled and others just with subtle embellishments, often tracing the edges of the low backlines. The colour palette progressed from white to pastels to bolder colors of yellow and bright pink, followed of course by black. One familiar element to Ports was the number of Canadian beauties on the runway—made the show just a little more special.
