New York, London, Milan and Paris may host countless (and mind-blowing!) shows during September, but with October quickly approaching our minds are already prepping for Toronto Fashion Week. When it comes to saving the best for last, our city is wrapping up the Spring 2014 season with stellar home-grown talent.

The packed Toronto schedule includes both The ShOws and World MasterCard Fashion Week, both of which are sure to show spring collections that will have us wishing we could just sleep through winter. Hosted by IMG Canada, World MasterCard Fashion Week just announced the highly anticipated lineup for Spring 2014 and it would be an understatement to say that we’re not a teensy bit excited. From the exquisite tailored pieces of VAWK to the sophisticated feminine lines of Pink Tartan, we’re eager to see what our favourite Canadian designers are bringing to the table.

In terms of what’s new, it seems like Target is taking a cue from Joe Fresh—whose show is the biggest ticket of the week—as the American retailer is set to debut a collection on the WMCFW runway. The Spring 2014 World MasterCard Fashion Week has also expanded into the weekend, with the addition of Fashion Saturday on the schedule. Presented by BMO, this event will provide fashion week attendees with exclusive experiences, including the Spring 2014 Highlights Fashion Show and a Designer Pop-Up Market.

For fashion fanatics, there’s nothing better than The ShOws. It’s a chance to see collections by some of Canada’s most talented designers up close—an encore of their international shows, per say.

For Spring 2014 there are a few new additions to the two-day roster: Bellavance and Calla Haynes will show on October 9, while The ShOws’ golden boy Jeremy Laing will closing the show on October 10 with Steven Tai. Enjoyed Laing’s nineties inspired collection? Itching to see Hayne’s teenager-inspired dresses? Mark your calendars, because this is an event you really don’t want to miss!
