you got to be kidding me. i should have entered, in all honesty this isnt chic, the belt is horrid, the shoes don’t go with the dress, as well with the accessories. i think the accessories would look best on a maxi dress. i tyhink you guys chose her for her beauty and not her actual outfit. btw vintage vibe? no i think not.

  • joanne says:

Ya I agree with Vanessa. This is not the best assemblage to be rewarded for. The dress is too girly and chic to be worn with that red (cheap looking) vintage belt. It’s way too off.

Same with the shoes. I think those are Nine West gladiator wedge shoes. That tan leather definitely gives off more of a casual look so that shoes should be worn with a maxi dress or a summer casual day dress. It could also work with shorts.

I think this outfit is a nightmare and I’m rather disappointed to hear you guys have rewarded her for it. Shame.

  • vanessa says:

yeah, the belt does look pretty cheap, while she is trying to create an expensive or classic look. all in all, the outfits all wrong.

  • Manata says:

WOW YOU LOOK LIKE JENNIFER LOPEZ

  • Raena says:

Wow! Thank you for featuring me! :D

In regard to the mean comments: I’ve never been told I look cheap before lol…maybe because the picture is in bad quality??
I have a different fashion sense than most. I don’t dress “trendy” or wear what is typically “in”.I just wear what I like and think looks good. Works for me!

p.s jlo is awesomeeee haha :)

  • Aldaine says:

Raena, you look damn sexy, and your outfit is proper. Don’t listen to the haters. Who are too ugly to even enter the contest. LOL

  • Soroya says:

You look amazing! I love the outfit. Don’t listen to them, obviously if you were choosen to be in this contest than you dont look cheap! Those people obviously think they know more about fashion than they do.

  • Caleb says:

God damn HOT. The fact that you make beauty out of next to nothing is incredible. On the other hand the losers who hate probably have rich parents buy them all the new trendy expensive shit, which is just sad.

“That tan leather definitely gives off more of a casual look so that shoes should be worn with a maxi dress or a summer casual day dress. It could also work with shorts.”
No one cares what you think, because you aren’t anyone. Period.

“you got to be kidding me. i should have entered”
Well hate to break it to you, you probably wouldn’t have won because not only do you not understand how to use grammar, you are also probably ugly.

    Pathetic.

The best part is Raena didn’t even try. You’re incredible, and everyone knows it.

  • Hans says:

I agree with Caleb, clearly you people don’t understand the concept of fashion; not following (ie; trends) but trailblazing, mixing things up. If you just keep wearing things that are “for the season” and “are in”, how in any way do you feel like you can become a ‘fashionista’ and decide what looks good.

What someone like her wears today you will be wearing next week, so shame on you. Not her.

  • Jessica says:

Hans, I am completely and utterly appalled at what you have claimed.
I have noithing againt the urban bohemian, but what you said about your so called “concept of fashion” is very false. You obviously haven’t picked up a fashion magazine lately or else you would see that those who are making headlines in fashion are those who can pull off the trickiest of-the-moment trends (ie. spring’s jumpsuit, fall’s bold shoulder, etc.). Fashion is a way of life and an important hobby to a lot of people. Buying things that don’t necessarily have the most staying power is a way of experimenting, enjoyment, and staying current to these individuals.
Also, have you picked up FASHION magazine’s latest issue? Did you read the bold type on the cover that read: FALL TREND ISSUE? The September issues of the world’s most influential fashion magazines are all about fall trends. It is insulting and rude that you would say that trends don’t matter on the blog of a magazine that clearly thinks they do.
I don’t understand why you think you can define what is fashionable if you obviously don’t agree with the industry, itself. How dare you try to contradict the people who real fashionistas (ie. not yourself) look up to.

  • Hans says:

Well Jessica, it is clear that your opinions were not well thought out and pointless because what I was saying is that people who buy into trends don’t make them ‘fashionistas’, it merely makes them consumers. Therefore, you are ignorant and believe only what you read. You are referencing one magazine as if it is the bible; people are categorized by a cumulative effort of multiple people and different senses of style, not by one magazine.

Trends are to help people who don’t attempt to be different look good. You can feel free to come back and write a novel but when it comes down to it, you and I both are mere commenters and not “bloggers”. We say our opinions. I don’t care about yours because you clearly did not read what I wrote and then responded out of ignorance. Anyway I’ve spent too much time here.

  • Joanna says:

I think this look is fantastic!

  • Anna says:

I think this outfit is cute.

  • a.maric says:

rae, this outfit is tres chic. i agree with hans. and on a purely complimentary note, damn you’s a sexy bitch. xoxo

  • Lauren says:

Raena you are the hottest and most fashion forward girl I know. Bringing back acid wash and beenies 4 years before everyone else. You will always be someone I admire and am inspired by. You could put on anything (I mean absolutely anything) and find a way to rock it. Haters don’t know shit and only go with predictability whereas you are an inventor, an innovator and that should be rewarded and admired. People are ignorant. Anyways keep fascinating my eyes with killer outfits.

P.S. We need to shop mad soon times

  • emeraldeyes says:

The belt is a nightmare and the shoes blend in to her tan too much.
