The buy: A Farmers Daughter fringe necklaces

My summer accessory staple is turning out to be necklaces of all shapes, colours, and kinds. For a local option, I’m loving Vancouver designer Melanie Hull’s creations for her label, A Farmers Daughter. I first discovered her a few years ago when she started out making feather hairpieces; I then moved onto her fabulous bow necklaces (I’m obsessed with all things bows!) and now, am wearing these fringe neckpieces ($44, at Nouvelle Nouvelle, 209 Abbott St., Vancouver, 604-682-2234) with literally everything—yes, even my bikini! Call it the Albertan in me—hey, the Calgary Stampede is just around the corner—but put a little vintage leather on a string, fray the ends a little, and you’ve got the formula for a perfect accessory.
