Nike’s newest sneaks offer a lunar landing

I have a confession to make that some sport enthusiasts may shudder at: I’ve run, biked, and played in the same sneakers for eight years. And though they served me well in my high school cross country days, they’ve recently been pushed aside to make way for a new, flashier sneaker–the Nike LunarGlide+ (available July 1, $150, nike.com). With neon orange trim that almost glows, these lightweight shoes are decidedly cooler than the dingy sneaks I have sitting at home. But what really sets them apart is how they feel. The second I put them on, my arches feel supported and my heels are cupped by the cushioning LunarLite foam, part of Nike’s Dynamic Support System, which also provides stability. Once I hit the streets it was love at first stride. For me, the technology translated into a newfound bounce in my gait, making my 40-minute run not only more endurable, but also much more fun. So while I’ll take my old sneakers out on rainy days, it’s my LunarGlides that will see the sun.

Wow, they’re nice! I only wear Nikes when it comes to some serious fitness/running and have been since I got my first pair of running shoes (age 3?).
Are they comfy and roomy? I hate the shoes that suffocate your feet with all of the surrounding cushion.
